1. Kids will be allowed to dress in the rink and utilize locker room spaces again. We will be using the Mission Room as before and space the kids out no more than 10 per locker room with doors open. Basically our original protocols will go back into effect in terms of locker rooms and spacing.
2. ONE parent per player will be allowed in for GHSL games (Monday and Tuesdays) and also Mission Prospect Camp on the weekend - Masks are required. Goltz Hockey Clinics (Wednesdays and Thursdays) will maintain a NO parent rule.
3. Masks will continue to be worn at all times and to the ice surface (even with helmet on).
I have fought very hard to get our kids out of the heat and will have zero tolerance with any issues with masks moving forward. We have been doing this long enough it should be natural at this point and don’t want anyone to become complacent with that since they are allowed back in the rink.
Please read and make sure everyone is aware of the plan before you step into the rink this week.
The rink has made updates to its policy in response to COVID-19 as of 7/2. Here is the breakdown...
* No-touch temperature checks for everyone entering the building over age 6.
For all Mission and Goltz Hockey Programs: (Note: this looks like a lot of info, but in reality just means a few extra minutes of preparation - see video).
~ NO PARENTS/SPECTATORS will be allowed in the building (1 parent may tie skates in the designated area at the entrance - Masks are required).
~ All players are required to "Home Dress" - this means everything but skates/helmet must be on when you enter the building - no exceptions. If you choose to wait until you arrive at the rink and dress in the car or parking lot, please practice social distancing while doing so.
~ No Locker Rooms will be available for use. Note: For older participants not needing assistance with skate tying, the Mission Room may be used to tie skates and store bags.
~ Masks are still required - even with a helmet on - until player is on the ice. Masks are also required the moment players come off the ice. (See attached video)
~ ALL players MUST bring a bag (preferably paper bag per CDC) WITH their name on it, which they will use to store their masks, every time they're on the ice.
~ Bring your OWN water bottle with your name on it!
I'm sure it goes without saying that if you, your player, or anyone in your household is sick, has been in contact with anyone who is sick, or has any contact with a known COVID-19 case, we are counting on you to keep your child home and relay any illness or potential risk to Coach Goltz as soon as possible.
Email us with any questions; we'll do our best to answer.

Information and recommendations regarding COVID-19 are ever changing. Our main concern is for the health and well being of our players, so in response to current health concerns regarding COVID-19, Goltz Hockey has pushed back start dates for our spring/summer events.
Offense Clinic - New Start Date: Wednesday, May 13th
Defense Clinic - New Start Date: Thursday, May 14th
GHSL Big Fellas - New Start Date: Monday, May 18th
GHSL Li'L Guys - New Start Date: Tuesday, May 19th
All completed schedules (with time slots) will be posted online by April 15th.
We will continue to assess the situation and communicate more as we get closer to the new start dates. We know everyone is anxious to get back on the ice and we want to be sure everyone gets back safely! In the meantime, keep working on off-ice drills to stay sharp and adhere to CDC Guidelines to stay healthy and flatten the curve. We are all in this together! We look forward to seeing everyone very soon.
