"Chaos"

Short benches forced some players to double up and get some extra work. It was really a great goaltending duel between Jaykins and Taz, but Copenhagen prevailed and keep themselves in the one spot for next week's show.

Should be unreal action next week for the playoffs and ship!

Grizzlies 9 vs. Redman 8

"Heavy Wood"

Grizzlies were ready to go and out dueled a tough Redman squad. Krivalicious was up to his normal act. Gavs, Breaks and Steel added some Octane as well. Big Wood scored some great goals on heavy shots and the Grizzlies finally found some secondary scoring to push past Redman in a great game.

"Extra frames"

The second game of the night lived up to the night, with another Shootout contest. This time it was the Redman who chased the game and a hot Erwin/ Decker combo most of the night. Erwin hit for 7!!! Lacy led the charge as they kept pace and never gave in. Late tallies by Steele and Campbell almost put this away in regulation, but Er's 7th goal pushed this to extra frames.

Shootout win was sealed by a lone silky goal by Steele!!

Huge Redman win.. 9-8

Game 1: Copenhagen vs. Redman

"This one was personal"

From the very first shift, with Coppy throwing a bomb on Capt Brockway, we knew this game was personal. Lots of pride at stake as the trenches were full of smack and chatter.

Kriv, Aziz, and Gavs formed an epic line, now dubbed "Two Vets and a Dump Truck." They outpaced Supervets like Demo, Birdo, and, my favorite of all time - Suttsey, in a highly contested showcase of talent.

It was tight late, but a snipe by Dom sealed it up for Benny and his boys. Loughsey popped a huge tally as well.

Game 2......

"UofA vs ASU????"

Tight one all the way as "The U of A Red Flow" Rowe  opened  up the scoring for Grizzly, but it was "ASU" Aziz  and  "The Smooth One" Kriv who put Benny B's squad over the top in a great GHSL matchup. The game was balanced and physical, but just too much Redman on this opening night. The younger guys competed hard too and had an even night, but it was a battle of the old guard.
